Muggers attack a Blood Biker and he needs our help

A young biker from Bolton, who delivers vital blood supplies for the NHS in his spare time, has been attacked by muggers and now he can no longer ride for the Blood Biker service.

His Triumph Tiger 800 suffered significant damage, which means he is off the road for NW Blood Bikers Lancs and Lakes.

Like all Blood Bikers, Niall volunteers to distribute blood supplies across the hospital network. This is a vital part of the NHS, yet blood bikers use their own bikes, in their own time.

The scum who attacked him caused significant damage to his bike. The top end: clocks, screen, lights etc are severely damaged and will cost over £2,000 to fix.

Niall’s bike is now off the road until parts can be donated

Because of his age, Niall can’t use any of the other bikes available to NW Blood Bikes due to insurance restrictions, so we need to get help him get back on the Tiger as soon as possible.

You can also donate directly to a Go Fund Me campaign set up by another volunteer from the NW Blood Bikers Lancs and Lakes group: http://www.gofundme.com/help-a-colleague-blood-biker

Learn more about becoming a Blood Biker yourself here: http://bikerandbike.co.uk/could-you-be-a-blood-biker/

Let’s see him back on the road as quickly as possible. Good luck, Niall.

He is obsessed about bikes to the point that he often starts conversations with new people by saying, "Please don't get me onto the subject of bikes. We'll be here all day."

Inevitably, the next question asked is nearly always, "What bike have you got, then?"

He's 'down' to three bikes at the moment:

'97 Triumph Daytona T595
'11 Triumph Tiger 800
'13 Triumph Speed Triple R

He's not even a huge Triumph fan, it just turns out that's how the stable is filled at the moment.

Having been on every continent except Antartica (as long as Cuba kind-of qualifies as South America) he is a big fan of travelling. However, to his deep but hopefully not eternal shame, he's only ever explored Europe on two-wheels and only started doing this a few years ago.

His main mission now is to explore as much of the world on two wheels as possible, at the same time as trying out as many new motorcycling experiences as he can and go on to inspire other bikers to do the same.
